Every destructive pattern has a point where the cycle can be interrupted. The key is learning to recognize it before the automatic response takes over.
In this message, Dr. Kevin Zadai explains how to identify the trigger that starts a repeating cycle and recognize what happens next. A word, tone, memory, conflict, disappointment, feeling of rejection, or another person’s behavior may trigger a familiar response—but that trigger does not have to determine your next thought, feeling, word, or action.
Kevin shares how to stop and notice what is happening, identify the response that has become automatic, examine the outcome it continues to produce, and intentionally plan where you will exit the cycle the next time it appears.
With the help of the Holy Spirit, you can become more aware of these reactions, recognize what repetition has made normal, and make room for a different response.
When you recognize where the cycle begins, you can identify the point where it can be broken.
