God wants to heal your body and your soul. Your spirit was already healed when you confessed that Jesus Christ is Lord. You cannot let your soul drag you down, which is the reason why you must discipline your soul. Did you ever take someone along with you somewhere and you felt as though you were dragging them around all day? You think to yourself how you are never going to bring them with you again. It is like dragging someone with you who does not want to go with you. Your soul will be that way with you, and so will your body. When you pray in the Spirit, in tongues, it overthrows your soul. Your soul throws a fit because it cannot participate in the supernatural event of praying in the Spirit. Your body and soul will fight you every time you go to pray in tongues. As you discipline your body and soul by praying this way, you will begin to enjoy overthrowing the demonic. You can truly be glad that you are born again, separated out, translated into the kingdom of light and not a part of this world. The demons hate when you speak in tongues, when you use the name of Jesus, and when you talk about the blood of Jesus. Praying in tongues infuriates the devil, and it is a powerful weapon of your warfare. When you pray in tongues, the devil is left out, your soul is left out, and your body is left out. You are then free to be and operate in who you are in the Spirit of God. “For the Lord is the Spirit; and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom (2 Corinthians 3:17 NLT).” In the Spirit of God, you are a prince, a king, and an authority figure on this earth. You are ordained to change the atmosphere of this generation as one by one we walk in what we are called to do. We are called to unify and build up the body of Christ, and praying in tongues is an integral part of walking in God’s Spirit.
